Une grange à Cominac

You reach this barn in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Nature Park (1 hour 45 from Toulouse, 30 minutes from Saint-Girons and 25 km from the Guzet ski resort) by a narrow, winding road that opens onto a breathtaking view of Mont Valier, lord of the Couserans.

With its “pas d’oiseau” gables, typical of the Cominac soulane, the barn belongs to Ariège’s listed and registered ensembles.

Here at the forest edge, on a hiking path lined, depending on the season, with blackberries or mushrooms.

An ideal place to watch wildlife by day and, when night falls, a starry sky no light pollution spoils.

On the ground floor, an equipped kitchen with oven and ceramic hob, a large communal table, a living room with a sofa facing the wood stove, and a rest corner with a bench.

Upstairs, a shower room with a jet shower and 2 bedrooms. The first with a balcony and a 160×200 double bed. The second with a 160×200 double bed and an 80×90 extra bunk.

Here you really unplug: no TV, no wifi, but a Pyrenean library, vinyl records, a turntable and board games. The 4G network is more than enough for video calls, games and streaming.

In front of the barn, to the east, a gravelled terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue. Behind, to the west, a shelter with tables, benches, a water point and a composting toilet.
